Neutrality on ValorStone

Neutrality on ValorStone is a concept, not a rule—choosing to be neutral does not mean you are immune to the dangers of the world. Instead, it means you are responsible for how you navigate conflicts, law enforcement, and political struggles.

🔹 What Neutrality Means

  1. You are not obligated to participate in wars or political conflicts.
  2. You can still be attacked, robbed, or targeted. Neutrality does not grant immunity from crime or hostile players.
  3. If attacked unfairly, you can seek justice through in-game means such as hiring mercenaries, placing bounties, or appealing to lawful nations. However, if you believe someone cheated during their actions against you or griefed in a severe manner, you can report it to staff and let them handle it.

🔸 Levels of Neutrality

Different players and nations or parties may handle neutrality in different ways:
1. Passive Neutrality: Avoids all conflicts but relies on external enforcement (e.g., lawful nations) for protection.
2. Strategic Neutrality: Avoids wars but enforces its own security through military strength, mercenaries, alliances, or bounties.
3. Temporary Neutrality: A player/nation that is neutral for a period (e.g., during formation, rebuilding, or after a war) but may later engage in conflicts.

🔹 The Risks of Being Neutral

You can still be attacked or robbed. There is no "safe zone" from crime, and if you provoke others, attack first, or engage in conflict, you forfeit neutrality.

Lawful nations may intervene, but they are not required to, so it’s completely up to them to take action for your sake or not.

🔹 Seeking Justice as a Neutral Player

If you are neutral and suffer an attack, you have several options:
- Post a Crime Report in the global bounty channel.
- Hire a mercenary to retrieve stolen goods or take revenge.
- Place a bounty on the attacker to ensure justice, depending on the severity.
- Seek alliances with lawful nations that enforce justice.

Neutrality is a choice—but that choice comes with risks. Make sure you are prepared for anything while staying out of the world's conflicts!
